Privacy, clearly explained
Your stay data stays in service of your stay.
My Stay connects hotel guests with hotel staff, services, facilities, activities, and reservations. This policy explains which information the app handles, why it is needed, and the controls available to you.
At a glance
My Stay is designed to use the information needed to provide hotel services, not to build an advertising profile.
The hotel handling your stay can access the guest information and service activity associated with that hotel.
Himnity operates My Stay and processes information so the app, notifications, requests, and reservations can function.
My Stay uses guest data to operate the service and does not sell it or use it to serve third-party advertising.
Information we collect
Account and profile information
When you create an account or sign in with email, Google, or Apple, My Stay receives the information needed to create and identify your account. This can include your name, email address, phone number, preferred language, room number, and stay dates.
Stay and service activity
The app stores the requests, reported issues, feedback, reservations, selected menu items, and other service details you submit during your stay.
Photos you choose to attach
If an app flow offers photo attachments and you choose to add one, the image is uploaded so authorized hotel staff can understand and resolve the related request or issue.
Notification and diagnostic information
When you enable notifications, My Stay registers a device or browser token so relevant hotel and service updates can reach you. When diagnostic reporting is enabled, technical error and performance information may be processed to keep the app reliable.
How information is used
- Authenticate your account and keep your session secure.
- Connect your account with the correct hotel and stay.
- Route requests and reported issues to authorized hotel staff.
- Manage reservations, menu choices, feedback, and stay activity.
- Send notifications you have enabled.
- Protect, maintain, and diagnose the service.
Who can access your information
Authorized staff at the hotel associated with your stay can access the guest and service information they need to assist you. Hotels using My Stay are separated from one another, so a hotel does not gain access to another hotel's guest records through the app.
Himnity provides and secures the My Stay platform. Technical service providers process limited information where needed to deliver their specific function.
Service providers
- Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple provide optional account authentication.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers push notifications after you enable them.
- Sentry processes crash and performance diagnostics when diagnostic reporting is enabled.
Your data choices
In My Stay, open Profile, then Privacy & Data, then Download my data. The JSON export contains your profile, requests, reported issues, reservations, and feedback.
Notification permission can be reviewed in My Stay and in your device or browser settings.
In My Stay, open Profile, then Privacy & Data, then Delete my account. The app asks for confirmation before continuing.
Retention and deletion
Account deletion revokes renewable sessions, removes notification registrations and private attachments, disconnects Apple authorization where applicable, and anonymizes identifying account information.
Operational records may remain in de-identified form when needed for hotel operations, reporting, security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations. They are no longer kept as an active guest account.
Security
My Stay transmits data over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to guest information is restricted to authenticated users and authorized hotel staff, with hotel records separated in the platform.
Children's privacy
My Stay is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for or collect personal information from children under 13.
